about us

We are Justin and Chaquerra Kershaw, the founders of SOW Strong Food. We really care about all families! As parents of 5 kids and former Division One athletes, we know firsthand the impact that balanced nutrition can have on performance and energy levels. We also know it is hard to find tasty, convenient nutrition-filled snacks for families on the go. So we started making bars in our basement with a hamburger press and despite what larger companies told us we created the best-tasting healthiest nutrition bar on the planet, making the impossible a reality!

The world is saturated with trendy diets that demonize carbohydrates, leaving us confused and restricted in our food choices. Meanwhile, so called “healthy” nutrition bars often taste dreadful and are laden with harmful additives. As athletes and parents ourselves, we recognize the value of carbs in fueling peak performance and sustaining the demanding journey of parenthood. The truth is, nutrition bars have fallen short, failing to meet the needs of our bodies and souls.

"We uncovered the secret of “Blue Zones” – places where people thrive far beyond life expectancy. The common thread? Carbohydrates, the overlooked hero of health and hormonal development, take center stage."

Prepare to embark on a taste revolution with our groundbreaking “Mom on a Mission Bar” – the epitome of our commitment to families and their well-being. Meticulously crafted, our bar is oat-based, gluten and soy-free, and enriched with only seven wholesome ingredients. But that’s not all – it’s the world’s first-ever carb bar! Our proprietary process delivers a delicious, convenient, and truly nourishing experience, one that you won’t find anywhere else.

They think you’re stupid, they need an intellectual challenge.
In 1969 John Adair introduced a 9 dot puzzle where the goal of the puzzle is to connect the dots by drawing four straight, continuous lines that pass through each of the 9 dots, while never lifting the pencil from the paper. The goal is only accomplished by drawing the lines outside the confines of the square area defined by the nine dots themselves, thus comes the phrase “Think Outside The Box”.
